Thanks Sharan Salian for sharing your findings! Also I must say that agree with Gabor Varadi on the readability side.

Motivated as how to go from Java if dependent implementation to mapOf() Java version just worked a bit with some testing and refactoring. The result can be seen at this little project of mine.

Hope you enjoy looking at it and reading through its history as much as I enjoyed working on it.
